“I’ve always had a wonderful experience at the Frisco Family YMCA. The gym is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a great workout. The staff is friendly, supportive, and the environment feels welcoming for all ages.
A special appreciation for the Power Dance, Aerobics, and Zumba classes—my daughters are absolutely fans! The instructors bring amazing energy, keep every session fun, and make everyone feel included. It’s truly one of the highlights of their week.
Overall, the YMCA has been a fantastic addition to our family’s fitness routine. Highly recommended!”

“The YMCA is such a blessing. I cannot believe I didn’t get a membership sooner. The childcare is so great with kids. And the ladies are great with the littles. My kids are excited to go play at Y. I have loved every fitness class I’ve taken. The lockeroom and facilities are well maintained and clean.”
“This YMCA has a lot of land and potential, but it feels very limited for families. I really wish they had a swimming pool, pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a proper locker room.
Right now, it doesn’t feel very family-friendly. It might work fine if you’re single or just looking for basic workouts, but for families with kids, it’s honestly lacking. With all the space around it, this place could be so much better.”
“Excellent family friendly gym. Highly recommend. Everything you need from incredible kid care, classes, variety of equipment both cardio & weights, clean, friendly staff. The Y offers a ton of kids activities from soccer, basketball to parents days/nights out (aka pizza & movie party for the kids). Exceptional gym! Wish I found them sooner.”
“It’s clean and the staff is nice. The problems I have with the YMCA are their class structure and some of the people that lift here.
They close down a huge portion of the gym each morning instead of having a separate room for classes. Totally out of the ordinary for standard gyms.
A lot of the people who lift here are quite old fashioned. Both my sister and my fiancé have had people comment on their gym outfits. It’s not like they’re wearing something totally inappropriate either. I’ve also had multiple people get mad at me for resting between sets. I get that it’s annoying that there’s only one machine for everything, but it’s important to take 2-5 min between sets to maximize workout efficiency. Everywhere I’ve ever worked out people have been understanding and at asked to work in, but the folks who lift here don’t seem to understand gym etiquette.
In summery, the community here is overbearing and the class structure is inconsiderate. It’s kept quite clean, but I wouldn’t recommend working out here to anyone.”
